SB 926 would allocate at least $280 million from the General Fund for Fiscal Year 2026–27:
- $100 million for county behavioral health departments to expand drug and mental health treatment services
- $85 million to county sheriffs to support intervention efforts and offset incarceration costs
- $45 million to county probation departments to manage expanded caseloads, conduct individualized treatment assessments, and ensure accountability
- $50 million to counties for administration, coordination, and best-practice implementation
