SB 1027: California Street Prostitution Task Force February 13, 2026 Senate Bill 1027 establishes the California Street Prostitution Issues and Options Task Force to study, analyze, and report on street prostitution in the state and its connection to human trafficking.
SB 1035: The Gas Tax Relief Act February 18, 2026 SB 1035 would temporarily suspend the state’s gas tax, the Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS), and the LCFS cap-and-invest compliance system for one year. These state-imposed costs have contributed to California’s fuel prices remaining consistently higher than the national average. By removing state taxes, the state excise tax, the Low Carbon Fuel Standard, and Cap-and-Trade costs, California drivers would save $1.08 per gallon of regular unleaded gas. A household of two drivers can expect to save between $900 to $1100 per year.
SB 1133: Ready Learn, Ready for Health Act February 26, 2026 SB 1133 would require, when the Health Education Framework for California Public Schools is next revised on or after January 1, 2027, the commission to consider including information on evidence-based preventative health instruction, including information on nutrition, food literacy, sleep, movement, stress management, and digital balance.
SB 1134 : Snap to THRIVE - Shop Nutritiously and Preventatively to Thrive Act February 26, 2026 The SNAP to Thrive Act requires the California Department of Social Services, on or before July 1, 2027, to seek a federal waiver from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to prohibit the use of CalFresh benefits to purchase soft drinks, candy, and prepackaged desserts.
