Before Assembly Bill 84 is presented to the Senate Education Committee on July 16, a bicameral group of lawmakers from both the Assembly and the Senate, along with parents, are coming together that morning to hold a press conference and rally to voice their concerns about the bill. Their goal is to protect students’ educational freedom because AB 84 would defund non-classroom-based charter schools and impose unnecessary and burdensome mandates and regulations.
