SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Senator Tony Strickland (R-Huntington Beach) will lead a press conference on Wednesday, August 26, at the State Capitol in opposition to a law recently signed by Governor Newsom, “Stop Nick Shirley Act.” Assembly Republican Leader Alexandra M. Macedo (R-Tulare), Assemblymember David Tangipa (R-Fresno), and Nick Shirley will join Senator Strickland at the press conference, which is expected to draw parents, families, and concerned citizens who also oppose the law.
