***Media Advisory*** Senator Strickland champions Proposition 36 Funding in Key Committee Vote

Senator Tony Strickland (R-Huntington Beach) will present his legislation, Senate Bill 926, a bill to fund Proposition 36, which will be heard in the Senate Public Safety Committee on Tuesday, April 21. Senate Bill 926 would fund the implementation of the important treatment and anti-crime measures approved by voters in Proposition 36 by directing resources to the newly created California Public Safety Services Support Fund. Proposition 36 was approved by nearly 70% of voters across all 58 counties, and this bill would fulfill the voters’ mandate.
