Orange County Business Council selects Senator Strickland as 2025 Legislator of the Year

Senator Tony Strickland (R-Huntington Beach) is pleased to announce that the Orange County Business Council (OCBC) has selected him as one of three Southern California’s 2025 Legislators of the Year.

Each year, the OCBC recognizes the lawmaker who demonstrates exceptional leadership in advancing policies that support jobs, housing, infrastructure, and business growth. This year, Senator Strickland is among the top three honorees to receive this recognition.

“I’m honored to accept the 2025 Legislator of the Year Award from the Orange County Business Council,” said Senator Strickland. “I was elected to go to Sacramento to restore common sense, support our vibrant region, and help ease the financial burden on families facing the high cost of living. A thriving and robust business community is essential to that mission, and I’m proud to be a strong voice for Orange County in Sacramento.”

“Senator Strickland’s leadership plays an essential role in fostering economic growth and maintaining Orange County’s position as a hub for business innovation and investment,” said Jeff Ball, President & CEO, Orange County Business Council.

According to the OCBC, its Legislative Scorecard serves as a key accountability tool, measuring how well Orange County’s state lawmakers represent the business community on issues that affect the region’s economy, workforce and competitiveness.
