Senator Strickland Announces Garden Grove Mayor Stephanie Klopfenstein as the 36th Senate District Woman of the Year

In celebration of Women’s History Month in March, Senator Tony Strickland (R-Huntington Beach) proudly announces that Stephanie Klopfenstein, Mayor of Garden Grove, has been selected as the 36th Senate District Woman of the Year in recognition of her outstanding leadership, dedication to public service, and commitment to strengthening our community. Mayor Klopfenstein will join Senator Strickland at a ceremonial event on March 16 at the State Capitol, where more than 100 honorees will also be recognized. 

“Stephanie leads not just with policy, but with heart,” said Senator Strickland. “Her deep commitment to strengthening Garden Grove exemplifies the spirit of Women’s History Month and highlights the powerful impact of women in public service. Stephanie shows up for Garden Grove every single day and is an outstanding public servant. I am proud to recognize her as the 36th Senate District Woman of the Year.” 

Mayor Klopfenstein has demonstrated unwavering service to the residents of Garden Grove through her work advancing public safety, supporting local businesses, and fostering inclusive community engagement.
